What happens after I send back my completed booking form?

DJ Sierra Jane endeavours to respond to all correspondence within two days of receipt and will send you a confirmation email with further details. If a confirmation email is not received within five days of returning your booking form please call Sierra Jane on 0423 586 310.

It is a good idea to commence planning for your event as early as possible and spend approximately ten minutes working on a basic song list that can be discussed with/emailed to Sierra Jane. Closer to the day Sierra Jane will need a copy of your run sheet (where necessary – this is mainly for weddings) which will usually be devised in conjunction with your venue manager or event planner (where applicable.)

If you need assistance with your song selection or running sheet at any time, please do not hesitate to contact Sierra Jane. The more you allow Sierra Jane to assist you, the more she can understand your vision for the event and deliver perfection and satisfaction.

What type of music will Sierra Jane supply at my event?

Sierra Jane has a vast music collection ranging from top 40 current hits to mood music, R&B, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and house music. This collection is updated weekly based on the requests of clients and the current music on the charts.

Sierra Jane welcomes you to advise her at anytime which songs you love and which songs you dislike so she can tailor the perfect music for your event.

Can I choose my own music?

Yes, definitely! Sierra Jane encourages you to choose your own music, this allows her to create a personal musical experience that is unique to your event. Sierra Jane has over 10,000 songs in her current library and if some of the songs you request are not in her current library, she will locate and purchase the exact songs that you want to hear at your event.

Please note Sierra Jane will endeavour to meet all playlist requests subject to availability and copyright owner restrictions.

What if there are songs I do not want played?

Please do not hesitate to email Sierra Jane at sierrajanedj@hotmail.com with a list of do not play songs to inform her of music that you feel is unsuitable for your event. This gives Sierra Jane a deeper insight into your vision for your event and ensures she can provide the perfect playlist throughout your event.

What if Sierra Jane can’t perform due to sickness or an accident?

Your event is a once in a lifetime experience for you and your guests and when Sierra Jane says that she will stand beside you on the day, come what may, she means it.

When serious illness or accident strikes, Sierra Jane has an on call DJ ready with equipment that Sierra Jane can brief and instantly send to your event.

Will Sierra Jane take song requests at the event?

Yes, definitely! Sierra Jane will absolutely take song requests at the event and will only not take song requests if advised by the host of the event. Sierra Jane has song request forms and pens that she provides at every event and distributes at her DJ decks in a neat and subtle manner.

Taking song requests at the event is encouraged as Sierra Jane can customise the music to the needs of you and your guests and create a more memorable event. Sierra Jane will not play any songs that the host has advised are do not play songs.

I feel like I need guidance with planning the music for my event, can Sierra Jane help?

Sierra Jane is an industry expert and is more than happy to assist you with planning your music before your event. Please do not hesitate to give Sierra Jane a call or text on 0423 586 310 or email at sierrajanedj@hotmail.com so that she can work closely with you to create your perfect event.

Sierra Jane is also available to meet you in person before your event however, additional costs may be incurred.

When do I need to submit my music requests?

Sierra Jane asks that you submit all music requests at least seven days prior to the event so she can guarantee she will have all songs on the list prepared and available for the event.

Will Sierra Jane’s equipment be sound checked?

Sierra Jane arrives approximately one hour before your event to set up – during this time Sierra Jane sound checks all equipment and microphones before guests arrive.

Does Sierra Jane bring backup equipment?

Yes, definitely! Sierra Jane always has back up equipment on hand and procedures in place to utilise at your event if ever required.

Can I use Sierra Jane’s microphone for our speeches?

Yes, definitely! You have the full use of Sierra Jane’s microphone for the duration of your event. Sierra Jane provides two cordless microphones at every event (Sennheiser brand.)

Can Sierra Jane supply equipment and play music at our wedding ceremony as well as our wedding reception?

Yes, definitely! Please discuss this with Sierra Jane via phone call on 0423 586 310 or email sierrajanedj@hotmail.com at least seven days prior to the date of your wedding.

What will Sierra Jane wear to my event?

Sierra Jane wears smart business attire to every event however, is flexible and can dress formally or informally depending on your event. Please do not hesitate to discuss attire requirements when you return your completed booking form.

Sierra Jane loves themed events too – please discuss with her before your event if you have a theme you would like her to dress up in and she will more than gladly comply!

Can I meet up with Sierra Jane before my event?

If you would like to meet Sierra Jane in person before the event this can definitely be organised however, additional costs may be incurred.

Do I need to provide Sierra Jane with a meal at my event?

No, you do not have to provide Sierra Jane with a meal at your event however, a meal is always greatly appreciated! Sierra Jane does not consume alcohol at any event.

What services do you offer for my wedding?

Sierra Jane provides much more than what brides and grooms have become accustomed to expecting from a DJ service – prior to your wedding, Sierra Jane offers unlimited email consultations for planning and music selection assistance. As a wedding industry expert with over ten years experience and qualified with a diploma in event management, Sierra Jane also provides professional wedding supplier recommendations with only the best businesses, assistance with other aspects of your wedding (such as styling, catering and timeline/execution of the event) and a listening ear.

On your wedding day, acting as your entertainment director, Sierra Jane works closely with your wedding suppliers ensuring everyone is on the same page to guarantee your wedding flows smoothly.

How do I pay for Sierra Jane’s services?

The payment process can be discussed with Sierra Jane during the booking process, Sierra Jane is flexible and happy to work with you to ensure no financial hardship is ever met. Sierra Jane can take payment in small increments or the full amount upfront.

Do I need to pay a deposit upon booking?

Sierra Jane does not have a booking deposit policy, receiving the returned completed booking form locks in the event (this will be verified via confirmation email within five days of receipt.) Cancellations may be made at any time up to one week prior to the function date without incurring a cancellation fee.

Cancellations made 1 – 7 days prior to the function date will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellation within 24 hours of the function date will incur a $100 cancellation fee.
